About Multi-Family Fireplaces
Multifamily Fireplaces website is sponsored by Skolnick Associates. Our aim with this site is to both encourage the use of fireplaces in multi family developments, and to make multi-family developers aware of the "hot glass" concerns with direct vent gas fireplaces, and liability with wood burning fireplaces and provide meaningful, affordable solutions.
Since the term "gas free fireplace" is new, here is a definition.
Gas Free fireplaces are fireplaces that are vent free, and use no solid fuel while presenting a flame that is comparable or better than equivalent gas or ethanol fireplaces.

Sheldon Skolnick- President
Sheldon is the second generation in this industry, which sells fireplaces, fireplace equipment, and barbecue grills to the trade.
We work with fireplace stores, grill stores, builder distributors, architects and large builders.
This is Sheldon's 59th year in the industry, and founded Sheldon Skolnick Associates in 1975.
Steve Skolnick- Senior Vice President
Steve is the third generation in this industry, which sells fireplaces, fireplace equipment, and barbecue grills to the trade.
We work with fireplace stores, grill stores, builder distributors, architects and large builders.
This is Steve's 35th year in the industry, and is a founding board member of the Mid-Atlantic Hearth Patio and Barbecue Association, and most recently served a second six years on the board , the last two on the executive committee as Treasurer. Steve also sat on the membership, marketing, and government affairs committees and is a graduate of HPBA's Government Affairs Academy and is pursuing his Certified Apartment Supplier designation to provide a higher level of service to the Multi-Family trade.
Steve has a B.S. from FDU Madison in Marketing, Management, and Economics.
